I practiced making these for an Xmas in July party. To my surprise, the crackers I bought were not square but more rectangular in shape, even after splitting them. Helpful hint: you can gently rub the edges of two crackers together in order to form a better square. Also, my fear that the melted chocolate would re-harden quickly before I could frost the crackers was unfounded, but still, I frosted, then decorated 3 or 4 at a time. Use a tweezer (or a very careful hand) to place the eyes or they might fall upside down! I can’t wait to make them again and present them to family/kiddies at the actual party!
