I generally like Moscato wines. I tend to favor those that are quite sweet and very flavorful.
Vintner’s Notes
Grapes for the California Collection Moscato were picked as soon as they achieved the perfect balance of ripe fruit flavors and vibrant structure. Winemaking techniques were employed to maintain the vivid flavors naturally found in Moscato grapes.
This carefully crafted wine offers immediately pleasing peach-scented and honeysuckle aromas with fresh, sweet flavors of juicy stone fruit, honeydew melon, Fuji apple and ripe pears. It is beautifully balanced with crisp acidity and a clean finish.
My Notes
Well, I could certainly taste the apple in the Beringer Moscato. It was clean and crisp, but absolutely not what I was looking for. I wanted a sweet wine – a clear sweet with no definite attributing taste to be specific. The color was a pale yellow, the nose again apple. Heck this was more apple-y than a wine made from apples!
While not in any way a bad inexpensive wine, it just wasn’t what I was expecting from a Moscato.
Have you tried the Beringer Moscato? What did you think?
As always, drink responsibly and please don’t drink and drive.

LOL Some of my blogging friends and I were chatting on skype the other day about an event we are presenting this summer. We are looking for a wine sponsor, and someone mentioned xx company (no, not Beringer) as being interested.
I said I didn’t care for their wines, and immediately two of my blogging friends responded, “Yeah except their moscato.”
I think you are have the right of it Kim, even people who don’t like white or sweet wines, or companies that put out meh wine products, all manage to find a common ground in moscato. The manufacturers can pull it off (like pizza even when it is bad it is good), and most people like at least a glass.

Well. I found a bottle of this Moscato laying among my healthy reds in the small wine cooler. It had a rose appearance and, upon introduction to the tongue, exhibited a sweet plum essence. The finish was delicate light and short. A nice wine for light sippers or dessert on a romantic evening; two bottles minimum.

I bought a bottle of Beringer Pink Moscato tonight as I generally like a sweet fruity wine (especially Ice wines from the Great Lakes region, NY/PA wines, some Reislings, etc. Unfortunately this one was horribly disappointing, much too flowery for my taste-like someone dumped some perfume in my drink…Sorry, I took one taste & the rest got dumped down the drain. 🙁

I have loved beringer Moscato for many years. The last few bottle i got are bubbly. I do not like it. Please go back to the old type of wine.
