Do you like fresh fruit blackberries!? I love them! And, of course, we always ate them fresh off the bush.
No matter where you get your blackberries- from the bushes grown in your backyard, from the farmer’s market, your local grower, or the grocery store and you enjoy blackberry desserts, this crisp will quickly become one of your favorite recipes.

What is the difference between a blackberry cobbler and a blackberry crisp?
A fruit crisp is a baked fruit dessert topped with a crisp and crunchy layer of ingredients to form a crisp topping. A fruit cobbler is a baked fruit dessert with a drop-biscuit or drop-dough topping.
Tips and variations for making this easy blackberry crisp recipe:
● This blackberry crisp recipe is really simple to make. I mean really simple: fresh berries, some sugar, juice, a little bit of flour, and a topping. It really only takes 15 minutes to prepare and pop in the oven.
● You can use Muesli or Granola for the toppings. Quick oats could be used too, but won’t give as good a crunchy topping texture or taste-interest (well, in my opinion).
● This blackberry crisp can be served warm or cold, à la mode with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with fresh whipped cream, or just as is.
● I have never used wild blackberries to make this dessert. If you are harvesting wild fruits, make certain you know that they really are the fruit you assume they are.
