Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2am.
Wow, does this get earlier every year or what!? I may take the opportunity to take a sunrise picture this week since sunrise will now be at 7:42 AM instead of 6:43 AM. Biiiiiiig difference to me! When the alarm goes off at 6:30 right now, all I want to do is roll over.
So, if you have shopping or TV plans for Sunday, make sure you set your clocks ahead an hour before you head to bed Saturday night.
Remember … spring forward, fall back!
This has been a public service announcement from those kind folks at Ann’s Entitled Life, aka me. 😉

Will this make winter go away?
Sheesh-This stinks.
Can you name ONE person that thinks or has thought this winter was nice? or fun? I sure can’t.
Ann says
Oh I think winter 2014 was equal-opportunity-crummy across the entire continental US, Barbee. I agree that you’d be hard put to find even one person (outside Hawaii) that thought this was a great winter.

I think it is earlier. It isn’t even spring yet. Oh well, I guess this makes us on dst for a larger part of the year now and that seems fine. I like it to be light later in the day. It is always so depressing to me when it is dark by 5pm!
Ann says
I totally agree with that, Shell. Nothing worse than December 21st in my book.

I totally HATE DST… It makes me quite angry to be honest.. What I hate is having to go to bed at 7:30 or 8pm and its LIGHT outside & my neighbors are mowing their lawns or running their chainsaws or kids are running up & down the street yelling, laughing, & playing.. Makes me quite grumpy.. and if I dont get enough sleep.. THAT makes me grumpy too!! OH well.. I know the world isnt gonna change its time keeping for me.. dang it.
Ann says
LOL I just told Hubby, “Don’t forget we have to set the clocks ahead an hour tonight”, and he did a VERY sarcastic, “yay”.

Im glad to hear there is another person on the planet that isnt jumping up & down with joy over DST.. If I didnt have to go to bed so early, I wouldnt mind it as much, but every year it causes me grief.. and I always look forward to Falling Back.

My sister goes to bed at 6:30 so she feels the same as you do. I don’t go to bed until 12 or 1. I used to go to bed at 9, but I hardly get time with my hubby on that schedule.
