My review of the Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita brewed by Anheuser-Busch InBev.

Bud Light Lime has come out with a limited edition fall flavor of their popular Rita drinks: Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita, which will be available until November 3rd.

Since I have reviewed the Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita (loved), Bud Light Lime Straw-Ber-Rita (blech), Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita (liked) and the Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita (downright nasty), I decided to give the Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita Review and break the “will drink again” and “would not drink again if you paid me money” tie from the four flavors I had reviews to date.

Bud Light Lime Notes

Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita has the great taste of an apple margarita with a twist of Bud Light Lime for a delightfully refreshing finish. With Bud Light Lime-Ritas, there’s no need to spend time mixing and blending to prepare an apple-flavored beer margarita. Just pop open, pour over ice and enjoy!

My Notes

The Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita pours with no head. It is a bit fizzy after the pour. A see through light ale color, the Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita tastes a tad yeasty, but does not taste like beer. Or an apple. Or cider. Or a Margarita. It tastes like fizzy, oddly flavored soda water (although to be fair when it warmed up, I could get an essence of apple). Honestly all I could think of when drinking this was, “I could have had a chocolate bar for the same calories.”

I have no idea what focus groups Budweiser is using for taste testers for their Ritas. The groups are clearly just grabbing their money and running without giving honest answers, because 4/5 of these Ritas have tasted nothing like a Margarita or a beer. They just exist as a new plane of canned alcoholic beverages. It is sad because I liked the original so much, and have been pretty disappointed since that time.

I foresee another drain dump of the Bud Light Lime Rita products. I am done with these Rita reviews and wasting my money on these products. The Ritas started off well, and slowly went ewwwwwwwwwwww.

Retailing for $12.99 a 12pack, the Bud Light Lime Apple-Ahhh-Rita is pretty bad. This is a definite: Do NOT Recommend at any price.
