The Bloody Mary is one of the few cocktails that can be served any time of day! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, this classic Bloody Mary recipe made with vodka, tomato and lemon juice and just a splash of zest and spice is the perfect adult beverage.
Some people add horseradish (yum!) and salt to the recipe, or garnish with lemon, but this is simply the classic version version of a Bloody Mary. I swear it is the only drink you can identify just from the garnish.
If you are looking for a versatile adult beverage that can truly be enjoyed at any point in time during the day, I have got the perfect Bloody Mary recipe for you. Not only are Bloody Mary’s packed full of some key healthy nutrients (hello, tomato juice!), they’re also quite delicious as well. If you are anything like me, you might prefer a little bit of spice to accompany your drink. And in my mind, the spicier the better. I always like to add a bit of pepper, and a dash (or two!) Tabasco sauce to really take my Bloody Mary to another level. Is it possible to ever get a Bloody Mary too spicy? My answer is no, but your taste buds may disagree.
The great thing about making this Bloody Mary recipe is that it is super simple and easy to make. It’s literally composed of 3 main ingredients with the addition of a few others that are varying “garnishes”. It makes you wonder exactly who tried that original trio of vodka, tomato juice, and lemon juice? Who knew it would be so awesome?
And to make yourself feel really healthy when drinking this beverage, make certain to remember to add your celery garnish as well. Who says you can’t have your drink and your veggies all at once?
