Independence Day is Sunday, July 4, 2021, in the United States, and as part of our national celebrations, fireworks displays are happening in many communities across the United States! If you are looking for fireworks displays in Buffalo, NY, Niagara Falls, NY or in the Western New York area, here is the complete list including dates and times.

It is that time again! Time for Independence Day fireworks displays in Western New York! Here is a list of fireworks displays in Erie County, Niagara County, and Western New York for 2021.

Last year was kind of crazy with how many towns decided to forego their Independence day fireworks displays. This year, there are a few communities that decided to cancel their events and I listed them only so you would know that your town has decided to skip Independence Day celebrations. After a lot of emails, phone calls, and website searching, this list is what I came up with. If you have any updated information, please be sure to share in the comments!

Please note that some of the 2021 Independence Day Fireworks Displays actually take place on July 2nd or 3rd or 5th in 2021. I have linked to the town (and city) websites so you can check out the source of the information yourself. I cannot be responsible for any municipalities that change their minds or change dates and times. And, I am definitely not responsible for the weather. Some of the towns and cities have listed raindates; some have not. Give a call to your local city hall or town council in advance of the 4th if you are worried about rain.

Please join us for our Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 3rd. Come out for an all-day concert featuring a few of our favorite tribute bands while enjoying food trucks, an alcohol tent, and a 50/50 raffle. Then we will end the night with a spectacular fireworks show.

We are very excited to be able to have Summer Music Festival 2021, but the following guidelines must be followed for us to have a safe but fun event!
* Each ticket holder will have to provide proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event at the entrance along with your photo ID.
* If either of these items are not presented, you will not be allowed in the event.
* All other CDC guidelines will be followed.

If the website is not updated, call. I called on June 16th and was told that since Cuomo had lifted big event restrictions (on the 15th), fireworks were a go on July 4th!
I was told it was the same information as in 2019, so:
● 7:30 p.m. Pine, Lock, Gooding and Ontario streets close for fireworks viewing
● 9:30 p.m. Fireworks begin
● 10:30 p.m. Closed streets reopen to traffic

● Orchard Park, NY Fireworks Display 2021! – how about tailgating before you watch fireworks? The stadium where the Bills play is putting on a display. Proceeds benefit the Bills Foundation:
Highmark Stadium’s Fieldhouse Lot and Lots 1, 3 and 4 will open to the public at 8:00 p.m. with the fireworks display to follow at sundown. Parking will be on a first come, first served basis, and each vehicle will be allocated space to set up lawn chairs and blankets. Tailgating is not allowed. There will be a $5 (cashless) admission charge per vehicle, with proceeds benefiting the Buffalo Bills Foundation.

July 5, 2021 Fireworks Displays in Buffalo, NY and Western New York

● City of Tonawanda Mayor Rick Davis and Council President Jenna Koch are announcing that there will be Independence Day fireworks on July 5th at dusk at the foot of Gibson St in Niawanda Park.
“Normally the fireworks are set off from Tonawanda Island, but because of the short notice, we could not get the proper clearances to fire them off from there this year. So, this year they will have a different look and feel, but hopefully, that will equate into a better fireworks display.”, said Mayor Davis.
