This isn’t a post I ever expected to write. When I told you what happened to Coupons, Deals and More back in March, I thought that, except for transferring over the good library content to Ann’s Entitled Life, that was the end of Coupons, Deals and More.
Little did I know…
The government threw me a curve last week and approved my trademark for Coupons, Deals and More. This was a process I began long before Coupons, Deals and More died so suddenly in February. After approval notification, my attorney advised me to bring back the Coupons, Deals and More webpage, and at the very least make it a static page.
I contemplated that. A static page is no work! I tossed up Coupons, Deals and More in under an hour on Friday and I could have parked the page with a few ads, and been done with it.
Instead, I acquiesced to the hundreds (I think it may actually have been over a thousand) of email I have received the last 10 weeks inquiring about the printable rebate page, and decided to return the Printable Rebate Forms page to working order. I haven’t quite completed posting all the information I have for the page, but plan to finish the task this week.
I will probably post a deal per day just to make the spiders and bots happy, but nothing more. You see, I’ve been very happy not deal-blogging the last few months. I have had time to do whatever I want! I haven’t had to worry about writing up any drugstores, grocery stores, or best deals. My blogging life has consisted of looking for laughs for today, posting an old library post , recipe and chit-chatting about my life! All enjoyable tasks, none of which requires me to work more than 40 hours a week.
While I love to help people, I have been stunned at how much I have missed the little things in my day to day life, how little I enjoyed deal-blogging, and how much I enjoy writing. While I may have suspected all of those, I now have confirmation.
So while Coupons, Deals and More is indeed “back”, it is never, ever going to be what it once was. I no longer have that passion. And, it takes real dedication and passion to teach people how to find deals. Ann’s Entitled Life is now my blogging home – Coupons, Deals and More is my home away from home.

Hey.. Good for you is what I say.. I cant tell you how many times people have told me that I need to be writing a coupon blog & quite honestly I just laugh.. Its not for me! Im not worried about the writing part.. God knows I can communicate pretty freely.. I dont have the passion for it that I think it truly requires. I like my freedom too much to be tied down.. nah.. not for me!
It’ll be good to see Coupon Deals & More here & there.. but Im glad you’re not hogtying yourself down with it. Life is just too danged short.

So glad you’re happy! And thank you for all you’ve done for us. Also, thank you for bringing back the rebate page, even though it may seem selfish on my part. I printed up a rebate already.

I am glad you find it useful, Marie. I have a lot more to add the next few days, so check back often.

Dang attorneys! Always throwing a wrench where it doesn’t belong. But good for you for putting up Coupons, Deals, and More to make sure good info is out there to help people get started with couponing.

Yeah, those dang attorneys! 😀

Ann,
I miss Coupons, Deals and More. I belong to several coupon websites, but I have always said yours was the best. Gave so much useful and helpful information and I don’t know of anyone that had as large a rebate page as you did. I am glad to see that part back.
What I never understood was how you were even able to take a vacation. It had to tie you down to where you could hardly have a personal life.
I love your blog, as you know, since I comment on practically every post.

I scheduled a LOT, Candie. You know I wasn’t one of those “HOT”, “RUN” deal bloggers, so if I posted 12 times a day, maybe 10 were scheduled. On vacation, I’d post 6-10 times a day, and travel days were all scheduled. When we did a cruise, I scheduled everything in advance, and only added one post that week. Even then with only posting once, it cost a ton for the internet connection outside the United States.

You know Ann a lot of life is timing. I think it was just good timing! Hubby was retiring, well if that is what you call it, and your site went down and it made you do what you were already wanting to do. Nothing wrong with that and I would call it good timing. Now the lawyer says this is good. I say it is great! I was just telling a friend yesterday that my favorite site was down. LOL

Timing is everything, Debb! I’ll have to work harder to make Ann’s Entitled Life your favorite site. 😉

YAY! I really missed the rebate page. Couldn’t find anything like it anywhere.
So I am a happy camper.
It’s gotta work for you though. And I hope it works just excellent!

And here I was, thinking I should throw out the rest of your business cards!
Will you post rebates, deals etc. when you feel like it 😉 on CD&M, then everything else on AEL?
admin says
I did toss the business cards.
There are actually two deal posts up today… one because Hubby found an awesome deal at Home Depot.
The rebate page will be updated as before – as I find the forms.
