A year or so ago I was looking for a new blow dryer. I read all over Amazon and various hair sites looking for the “best” possible blow dryer I could buy. While the deals I got at the drug store were awesome (blow dryers for under $25!), the blow dryers didn’t seem to last long. And, the deals were drying up. I only had one left in my beauty-stockpile, and with no sign of any drug store close-outs happening (it had been two years since the last one), I bit the bullet and paid up for what I hoped would be a decent blow dryer.
I settled on the BaByliss Pro BABNT6610 Portofino 6600, 2000-Watt Nano Titanium Ionic Hair Dryer in blue. The reviews were very, very good, and the price, while high, wasn’t as crazy as some of the other “pro” blow dryers I was looking at.
I also got a wonderful surprise in that my blow dryer came with a straightener! No where on Amazon did it say I’d be getting this bonus, so it really was a fantastic surprise!
So after a year these are my thoughts on the BaByliss Pro BABNT6610 Portofino 6600, 2000-Watt Nano Titanium Ionic Hair Dryer:
● Worth every penny.
● Dries quickly – I have a mass of hair, and I can dry it in 5-7 minutes with this blow dryer. Styling of course takes longer, but I can be done in 15 minutes.
● The low setting is great for styling. Enough heat to completely dry, but not a big enough blast to cause fly-aways and frizzies.
● I don’t use the cool setting.
● My hair dresser now has one! I never said anything about my hair dryer, but I noticed last time I had my hair done that this is what he is now using!
As I look for products to buy to set up a second household, this blow dryer definitely makes the cut. I am buying a new one to take and leave in Florida. I highly recommend the BaByliss Pro Hair Dryer:
Do you have a favorite blow dryer? A BaByliss? How do you like your hair dryer?

I rarely ever use one. I have curly hair that frizzes with a blow dryer. I can use a diffuser to help that but usually just let it air dry. I don’t work anymore but I air dried it then when I worked also. My hair is not as thick as it used to be, but even when it was super thick and took a long time to dry, I still did it. My hair looks much better with air dry. I don’t even like how it comes out that well when my hair dresser blows it out. Glad you found a good one for you 🙂

I air dried my hair for year, Shell. I just started blow drying it maybe 10-15 years ago. It started as a time saver (it really is faster than air drying), and now I use it to “style” (such as it is) my hair too.
