I am laughing hysterically as I write this… one month until Christmas, and we have not even gotten through Thanksgiving yet!
I swear I feel no more prepared today than I was two months ago, or even three months ago. Every single one of my good intentions have flown out the window. Well, now that I think of it I am a “tad” closer. Goodness knows I made a lot of holiday crafts this past month, and instead of packing them away, I placed them about the house. My MIL arrives tonight (from Vegas), but that’s ok… she won’t say anything about the decor.
And we did clean out the basement, and went through all the Christmas decor. We found two more ruined bins that still had water in them (gross), and I replaced some of the stuff. We also have a donation pile that needs to go out this week.
And I ordered the filled pierogi and the flats are done, as well as the seafood lasagna. Hubby and I also cleaned out the freezer, and know how much fish we have, and all the shrimp for the shrimp tray is purchased.
As far as the blog goes, two weeks of holiday sweets are set (ok, so I still have to schedule them, details, details), with five recipes to go. Poop.
Hmmm sounds like I may be doing a bit better than I thought! Now to get through Thanksgiving dinner this week.
So, how are your holiday preparations going!? Started yet? Finished already?

I am all but done Ann. Hubby and I are getting phones for each other for Christmas, mine is almost 6 years old and yes it is a dumb phone. But I have to decorate and will on Thursday and Friday, and I have to get everything done because I am having another surgery on Dec 15th. Just mouth surgery but more fun none the less. I am on a roll this year.

Oh wow! Come help meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
And best wishes on your surgery, Debb. I hope you heal well, and quickly.

All my plans are still just that…plans. I want to clear enough space in the spare room to put the totes of Christmas decorations and boxes of my Dad’s things that are in the living room. I would love for my 2 big, strong boys to be in the house at the same time so that they can get the couch out of the living room to make a place for the tree. Not done one thing towards the baking or cards, but I have started on the gifts…barely.
