I have yet to do a pet peeves post on Ann’s Entitled Life, so today’s your lucky day!! Apparently not much has been annoying me this past year. Either that, or I’ve been pretty oblivious to life. And, thinking back on 2013, I’d go with the oblivious.
Pet Peeves
● People who play with their smart phones during dinner, instead of engaging in dinner conversation.
● People who text 20 messages rather than take the 2 minutes for a phone call.
● People who take 10 minutes for a phone call that could have been resolved in 2 (or less) text messages.
● People who nag constantly.
● Winter drivers.
● Facebook.
● Email spam.
● “New” social media. Just stop already. There are too many choices as it is.
● Cleaning. Cleaning should probably top every pet peeve list I ever do.
What are your pet peeves?

One of my Pet Peeve’s is folks blocking the elevator doors so you can’t get off to let them on. That makes me want to scream sometimes!
Ann says
Or how about the people that want to get on the elevator before everyone gets off, Shirley? Grrrr

A lot of these I share with you…especially the first and last. To add, it bothers me when people are on their phones while visiting people. If you have people over or go to their house, even if they are family, I feel like your time should be spent interacting with them and not social media. It also bothers me when people turn lights on and leave them on when they leave the room and when people make promises they can’t or don’t keep.
Ann says
You’d beat my Hubby, Stephanie. He is ALWAYS on the phone when we go out. Always. And, I swear he couldn’t find the “off” position on a light switch to save his life.
He does, however, keep his promises.

We have two lights in our bathroom. The main overhead light, and another on the wall by the sink. For some reason my husband insists on using the one by the sink every day, and every day he leaves it on. So then he is at work and I am cursing him out for leaving it on, but then I feel bad since he is at work and it’s probably 11 when I notice and I am still in pajamas lol. He is getting better about the phone thing though. Not at home by any means, but when we go out he will put it away…..well unless the other husbands have their phones out. He says it’s open game then lol
Ann says
LOL Let me know how you break him of the phone habit, Stephanie. I can definitely use the tips!

Those are all good ones Ann! I too hate cleaning, so that would be on any list I have for sure. I am pretty sick of cell phones (says the lady with an iphone lol) being used every where. I am tired of hearing the conversation. I especially hate people talking on phones in stores with bluetooth. I can’t tell you how many times I have embarrassed myself thinking someone was talking to me but instead they are on the phone using bluetooth – argh! The worst I think is when people talk on the phone while at the check out at the store. That is sooooo rude! Just because we CAN talk on the phone anywhere, doesn’t mean we SHOULD!
Ann says
I agree, Shell!!

Im with you all on the cell phones.. Rude Rude Rude! There is no excuse for rudeness. If Im out to dinner with M’honey & he has to answer a phone, he better either get up & go outside or be on there for less than one minute.. I rarely ever get truly pissed off, but if you want me to, talking on the phone while we’re out to dinner would be the way to do it.
I have a girlfriend that no matter what you’re doing, her face is stuck in her stupid phone.. she cant live without her FB.. She has absolutely no shame whatsoever.. I decided I will never invite her over again.. The hell with that..
Very slow speed zones are a pet peeve..
Drivers who turn right on a red light who try to beat the oncoming traffic.. I want to run over them..lol
People who stop for school busses on a 4 lane highway when the bus is on the other side of the road.
People popping bubble wrap or bubble gum
TV.
