2022 July 4th Fireworks Displays in Buffalo and Western New York

Independence Day is Monday, July 4, 2022, in the United States, and as part of our national celebrations, fireworks displays are happening in many communities across the United States! If you are looking for fireworks displays in Buffalo, NY, Niagara Falls, NY, or in the Western New York area, here is the complete list including dates and times.

It is that time again! Time for Independence Day fireworks displays in Western New York! Here is a list of fireworks displays in Erie County, Niagara County, and Western New York for 2022.

Last year we returned to a bit of normalcy as many municipalities decided to resume Independence Day fireworks displays. This year, the big town that is not resuming a public fireworks display is Amherst (confirmed via email). After a lot of emails, phone calls, and website searching, this list is what I came up with. If you have any updated information, please be sure to share it in the comments!

Please note that some of the 2022 Independence Day Fireworks Displays actually take place on July 1st, July 2nd, or July 3rd in 2022. I have linked to the town (and city) websites and Facebook pages so you can check out the source of the information yourself. I cannot be responsible for any municipalities that change their minds or change dates and times. And, I am definitely not responsible for the weather. Some of the towns and cities have listed raindates; some have not. Give a call to your local city hall or town council in advance of the 4th if you are worried about rain.

The Niagara Falls fireworks can be viewed at Niagara Falls State Park from many vantage points, like Prospect Point, Luna Island, and Terrapin Point. All fireworks displays are subject to weather conditions.

Please join us for our Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 2nd. Come out for an all-day concert featuring a few of our favorite tribute bands while enjoying food trucks, an alcohol tent, and a 50/50 raffle. Then we will end the night with a spectacular fireworks show.

The show will take place on Sunday, July 3rd at 10:00 PM from barges in the Bemus Bay.
A portion of Lakeside Drive will be closed starting at 9:00 PM, this space will be used for visitors to safely view the fireworks. The show will be also be visible from the Village Park.

Free concert and fireworks at Concord Community Town Park with Midnight Recovery Band playing at 7 pm until fireworks at around 9:30 pm. Bring your own chairs. No public displays (email response to my query, “No, there will not be. There is a concert in Bassett Park” – they built a new stand there, but I don’t think it will fit many people.

After three years, the great Bisons summer tradition returns to Sahlen Field! Join us Monday, July 4 for the 26th Annual KeyBank Independence Night Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Largest Fireworks Show of the Season as the Bisons host the Syracuse Mets (6:05 p.m.).
As the concert ends, the Largest Fireworks Show of the Season begins.

City of Tonawanda police captain Fredric Foel said “the fireworks will be shot off right at the middle of the bridge and what we do is close the two streets on our side, Main Street down to Broad; Niagara Street down to Seymour Street, that’s where all the pedestrian activity will be as people bring chairs and blankets.”

● 10:30 p.m. Closed streets reopen to traffic

● Lyndonville, NY Fireworks Display 2022
This is going to be a big deal in Lyndonville from the parade to the flyover to the fireworks. Read this whole article for the details.
The evening will then see the band Double Shot take the stage for a concert from 7 p.m. until dusk. During the band break, local dignitaries will speak briefly and award a proclamation to Sgt. Bellavia. The grand finale will be one of the largest 4th of July fireworks shows in Western New York.
