Boozy Chocolate Fudge Recipe
Notes:
● For a different flavor, use white chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet!
● If you want a stronger bourbon flavor, reduce the amount of vanilla extract used and replace it with more bourbon.
● Sometimes for whatever reason, my fudge refuses to set- either I did not let it heat long enough, or maybe it is the humidity or temperature of my kitchen… If this happens to you here are a couple of ideas to save your fudge: return fudge to pan and heat again, add a bit more evaporated milk and more chocolate chips, stir well, pour into the pan to set.
Boozy Chocolate Fudge Ingredients:
● 3 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
● 1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened Condensed Milk
● 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
● 2 TBSP Bourbon
● ¾ cup Pecans, finely chopped
Boozy Chocolate Fudge Mise en Place:
● 9″x9″ Baking Pan
● Pot
● Spoon
● Aluminum Foil
● Measuring Spoons
● Measuring Cup
● Non-stick Cooking Spray
Boozy Chocolate Fudge Directions:
● Line an 9″x9″ square pan with aluminum foil, leaving some hanging over each end (to make handles to easily remove the fudge later). Spray lightly with a non-stick cooking spray.
● Combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat. Heat, stirring, until melted and smooth; remove from heat.
● Stir in the vanilla, bourbon, and pecans.
● Spread fudge in the pan and chill for an hour.

Dee says
Can I substitute a good baking chocolate like Valrhona for the chips?
Ann says
I have not done so, Dee, but I “think” it should work. Remember that it will not be as sweet, though (however, with the amount of sweetened condensed milk in this recipe, that should not be an appreciable difference). Make sure you cut up your baking chocolate into chunks for easier melting. It is an ounce-for-ounce swap, so 24 ounces in 3 cups.
