Tips and notes for making this Love You Beary Much cookie card and recipe:
● Do not use natural peanut butter in this recipe.
● There are a variety of things that you can use that will make the cookie stick to the heart card: simple syrup, any leftover icing or buttercream, and a dab of peanut butter would also work well.
● The chocolate chips form the paw. The heart shape chips are super cute, but a regular chocolate chip can be used with the chipits being so difficult to find.
● This is a recipe for a peanut butter cookie. Alternative cookies are sugar cookies, black-and-white cookies, or easy cutout cookies. You want them small to stick to the cookie card, and you want something you can make to look like a bear paw. The coloring of a peanut butter cookie is perfect for that and to show the paw. However, some coloring in a sugar cookie or cut-out fixes that dilemma quickly.
● How to make Vanilla Extract.
● Print the cookie cards using card stock so the cookies will have some support.

Love You Beary Much Cookie Card and Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and the baking soda. Set aside.
4. In a large bowl, using a stand mixer, beat together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and peanut butter until nice and creamy.
5. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until mixed.
6. Add the flour mixture to the batter and beat until combined.
7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out a ball of batter approximately 1 inch in diameter and place it on the prepared cookie sheet. Leave 1½ to 2 inches of space between each dough ball. Do not flatten.
8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookie are browned.
9. Remove peanut butter cookies from the oven and allow them to cool for 2 minutes only.
10. While the cookies are still warm, place the heart-shaped chocolate chip in the middle of the cookie and push it very slightly so that it will melt slightly to stick. Do not push the chip too hard, or the cookie will swallow the chocolate. You just want to place it there lightly. Place 3 of the mini chips around the heart-shaped one to create a paw print.
11. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for another 5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack so that they can cool completely.
12. Once the cookies cool, transfer them to the cookie card (use card stock for better support). To make the cookies stick to the card, melt a tablespoon of the mini chips and use the chocolate as ‘glue.’ Using just a dab of chocolate on your finger will do the trick.
13. Allow the chocolate time to cool and set.
14. Wrap the cards if giving them away, or place them in a single layer in an airtight container to store them.
