Dinner Rolls Wreath Directions:
1. Line a round pizza baking sheet with parchment paper that extends over the side. Set aside
2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow to stand for 5 minutes or until the mixture becomes frothy.
3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, rosemary, and salt. Set aside for now.
4. In the large bowl of a stand mixer, using the dough hook attachment, mix the yeast mixture with the softened ½ cup of unsalted butter and the egg. Use the dough hook at medium speed for about 4 minutes. It will not look pretty at this point. It will also not be fully combined and will still have a few chunks of butter. (I promise it all comes together nicely.)
5. With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the rosemary flour mixture. Once the flour mixture has been fully incorporated, increase the speed of the mixer to medium and continue mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl, about 5 minutes.
6. Form the dough into a ball and place it in an oiled bowl, turning to coat all sides.
7. Cover with a damp towel and place in a warm place to rise for about one hour or until it doubles in size.
8. After the dough rises, turn the bread dough out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 24 equal pieces. Shape each portion into a ball.
9. Place 14 of the dough balls in a circle around the outside edge of the pan, leaving some space between them. Take the remaining ten dough balls and make a second row, again leaving some space between them.
10. Add the powdered garlic and dried parsley to the ½ cup of melted butter.
11. Brush approximately half the mixture onto the top of the dough balls. Set aside the remainder of the butter mixture for now.
12. Cover the pan with a damp towel and place in a warm spot to rise for about 45 minutes.
13. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
14. Bake the rolls for 15-17 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven or until the tops are golden brown in color.
15. Allow the roll wreath to cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then brush with the remaining herb and garlic butter.
16. Serve warm.
17. Store leftovers in an airtight container or ziploc bag at room temperature for 3 days. Warm for 10-15 seconds in the microwave before serving.
18. You can freeze these buns covered for up to 2 months. Thaw on the counter when ready to eat and warm before serving.
