I’ve been on a Jello Shot kick lately. They are easy to make, fun to take to a party or a get-together, they remind people of their youth… so why not?
Pumpkin Pie Jello Shots Recipe
Last weekend I went over to Denise’s house (Coupons For Your Family) with some fellow Western New York bloggers. Everyone brought something to the event, and one of the things I brought along were Jello Shots.
I warned the ladies that they were serving as guinea pigs to try several types of jello shots, and they were perfectly accommodating!
Because I brought over 12 of these pumpkin pie jello shots, and there were only 5 of us there (and one person didn’t care for pumpkin), there were 8 leftover. Denise shared them with her neighbors at a bonfire later that evening. They liked them so much, they wanted the recipe!
I liked these too. A lot.
If you have a holiday get-together and/or party between now and the holidays, make these for the over 21 crowd!! They really are good. And they will remind everyone of when they were 21 (or 18) again!
Jello Shots are pretty easy to make. This is the basic recipe anyone can follow:
● 1 small box of Flavored Gelatin (there are others with unflavored Gelatin, but this is the basics)
● 1 cup water, boiling
● 1 cup of: vodka/rum/tequila/whiskey/schnapps/liqueurs
The 1 cup of some sort of spirits is the key. The different flavor combinations of alcoholic beverages combined with the flavored gelatin are what makes the tasty jello shot varieties.
The souffle cups are 2oz, and a shot glass is 1oz, 1.5oz or 2oz normally, so you may get a different number of servings depending on the vessel you use to set the gelatin.
