Remember when you were a kid and your mom made your favorite meal; sloppy joes? To this day I love sloppy joes for lunch or dinner. Hubby makes it on occasion, and I am always all in on that meal!
This is simply a childhood favorite remade for adults and children. It is pretty easy to make, and as a bonus, tastes great, too! A terrific comfort meal casserole. Yum!

Tips for Making the Best Sloppy Joes Casserole Recipe:
● You can use a prepared Sloppy Joe Sauce from the grocery sauce. Simply add it to the browned beef-pepper-onion mix instead of the tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
● This casserole can be prepared in advance, minus the biscuits. Just add the quartered biscuit dough just before popping into the oven.
● The prepared casserole can also be frozen for up to 6 months. Just thaw it in the refrigerator. To bake, cover tightly in foil and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.

● 1 lb. Ground Beef (90% lean)
● ½ cup Chopped Onions
● ½ cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper
● 1 tsp Minced Garlic
● 14oz Tomato Sauce
● ½ cup Ketchup
● 2 tsp Yellow Mustard
● 1 TBSP Brown Sugar
● 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
● 1 tsp Garlic Salt
● ½ tsp Black Pepper
● 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
● 8 Large Refrigerated Biscuits (1 can)
● 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 1.5-quart baking dish.
2. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, breaking beef into crumbles.
3. Add in the tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika, and let it simmer on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, open up a can of refrigerated biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters.
5. Pour the sloppy joe filling into the prepared baking dish.
6. Layer the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
7. Arrange the biscuit quarters in an even layer on top of the cheese.
8. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes till the top of the biscuits is golden.
10. Serve with sour cream and sliced spring onions.
