Today’s Discussion will be about Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita!
Last April, Bud Light Lime Lime-A-Rita hit shelves, and in less than eight months, became the leading flavored malt beverage brand on the market, selling more than 500,000 barrels.

The green color is putrid. Truly not pretty at all. There is an effervescence, and smells a tad Margarita-y when poured. When left to sit a while, the yeast come to the forefront. Going down, it is bubbly and takes more like a Margarita than an ale. There is no head at all, so don’t expect many ale qualities.
The big negative is this goes down very, very easy. Not too tart, not too sweet, it is like drinking a pop – and at 165 calories in a 8oz can, and 8% of alcohol, that can be a bad thing.
I love, love, love the Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita Review. Last year, we bought three cases worth, and for us that is a HUGE amount of a malt liquor product. I highly recommend giving it a try if you enjoy beer, ale or some other type of malt beverage. It is different and delicious!
I wrote about this last year on Coupons, Deals and more, but wanted to re-run an updated post because in the next week or two I plan on reviewing the Straw-Ber-Rita I have no idea if it can measure up to the Bud Light Lime Lime-A-Rita, but I am willing to give it a try!
As always, drink responsibly and please don’t drink and drive.

Just want you to know that your original review is the reason I gained so much weight this past summer! I had to try it and then got hooked. I normally just stick to water as my beverage of choice, but hanging out at my parents house while my brother and his family were on furlough, I mentioned to my mom that you said Lime-a-Ritas were something we had to try. From then on, whenever we hung out, BAM 165 (or 330, if we were there for long time) calories and, of course, something to munch on with it!
I’m not sure if I want to read what you think of the strawberry one… (Although I’m glad you are reviewing it, since I noticed it at Tops the other day.) 🙂

Yikes! Sorry Stephanie. They are good though. I don’t think anyone that has tried them has disliked them!
I’ll try and get the strawberry ones this week, if not for the 10th no matter what (I want to rerun a Baileys drink Hubby made before Memorial day too)

I loved the lime ones too! They are too good. Must be very cold though. I love taking them to places that you cannot take glass, but can bring alcohol. The strawberry ones taste just like a frozen strawberry margarita, but strange without the frozen texture, otherwise they are very tasty too, so beware! They are so little they go down fast, and they are pretty high alcohol.

Oh these are bad news, especially when they put that tempting bin at the check out at Winn Dixie for a buck a piece!!! Over ice, goes down way to smooth for all those calories!! Lime and strawberry equally good!! It’s 5 oclock somewhere, right??? So so good!!

Must be served on the rocks with salt to appreciate the taste! Not so good just from the can.
