Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita Review
My review of the Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita brewed by Anheuser-Busch InBev.
In 2012, Budweiser came out with the Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita. Which I loved.
In 2013, Budweiser came out with the Bud Light Lime Straw-Ber-Rita. Which I did not love.
In 2014, Budweiser introduced two new flavors of their ritas: Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita which I really liked and Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita. See review below.
Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita is one of the newest flavors being offered by Anheuser-Busch. It is sold in 12 packs, 6 packs, individual cans, or as part of an 18 pack multipack of all 4 Bud Rita flavors.
There are no tasting notes from Anheuser-Busch. And I looked! I did find the PR release which gives the basics:
The new Ritas are 8%* alc/vol flavored malt beverages that blend the refreshment of Bud Light Lime with the taste of raspberry margaritas
I found the “nutritional” information on the side of the 8oz can:
Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita Nutritional Information
Calories per 8oz serving 195
Carbs 22.8
Fat 0
Alcohol 8% by volume
My Notes
The Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita tastes nothing like a beer. The Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita tastes nothing like a Margarita.
I bet you now expect me to tell you it is awful? And you would be correct.
The Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita pours with a teeny-tiny head that dissipates immediately. It smells like a cross between medicine and grape juice, with the medicine-y scent being the stronger of the two. The color reminds me of cranberry juice. It isn’t effervescent at all – probably the best thing about the beverage.
It tastes medicine-y too. I actually dreaded having the second one for the review, it tasted that bad to me. The taste combines with the worst artificial sweetener you can imagine, Robitussin, and then tossed in some sour grape candy. It wasn’t to my taste at all. Now if you like artificial sweeteners, Robitussin and grape sour candy, well, this is the drink for you!
I have no idea how I am going to get rid of the 10 cans left in that 12 pack I purchased. Hubby liked the Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita even less than I did – if you can believe it!
This is a definite: Do NOT Recommend at any price.
So for me, the Bud Ritas are batting .500: Loved the original, Liked the Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita (OMG read the comments for drink ideas!), Disliked the Bud Light Lime Straw-Ber-Rita and Disliked the Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita.
Retailing for $12.99 a 12pack, the Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita is pretty bad. I wouldn’t recommend at any price.
As always, drink responsibly and please don’t drink and drive.

try freezing it into popcicles… I have seen where they mixed the mango and raspberry together and said it was good… I am not a big fan of any of it, though… I prefer my beer to taste like beer, wine to taste like wine, and bacon… well, to taste and smell of maple! lol

I was thinking hard on how to save those last 10 cans, Tami. I may give that a go, although I hate to possibly waste the Mango one… guess I will try one to start!

Tastes medicine-y? Maybe the Robitussin you seem to enjoy has destroyed your taste buds.
Rasa rita’s taste great, and of course it won’t have that buzz

Glad to know I’m not the only one who hated this. I was disappointed, but at least I had just purchased an individual can! I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised, since I didn’t like the strawberry one either…
Ann says
Me neither, Stephanie! Seems were were aligned on our taste of these ritas.

I LOVE Raz-Ber-Ritas they are by far the best tasting of the Rita line
Jan Barnes says
We absolutely LOVE the razberrita. Restaurants are charging $10-$12 for berry margaritas that are not nearly as good!
